Designed for a couple seeking a space that felt both refined and deeply personal, this master bedroom transformation focused on creating a private retreat within their Vancouver apartment. The clients envisioned a room that extended beyond sleep, a place to enjoy a morning coffee, unwind with a book, and escape the pace of everyday life.
Drawing inspiration from modern interiors with warmth and character, the design balances clean lines with layered textures, soft natural materials, and carefully curated furnishings. Architectural detailing, thoughtful lighting, and a calming palette work together to create a sense of comfort and sophistication, while dedicated zones for reading, relaxation, and storage enhance the room's functionality.

THE BRIEF
The clients wanted to transform their bedroom into a calm and luxurious retreat that felt brighter, more functional, and better suited to their lifestyle. They hoped to incorporate a reading nook while retaining key furniture pieces and creating a space that felt warm, inviting and restful.
THE DESIGN APPROACH
Our design focused on layering soft textures, warm whites, natural materials, and thoughtful lighting to create a sense of comfort and relaxation. Existing furnishings were incorporated, while carefully selected additions enhanced functionality and visual balance throughout the room.
