THE BRIEF
The brief was to transform the existing kitchen and dining area into a more functional, connected space for everyday living and entertaining.
The clients wanted improved storage and workflow, while creating a home that felt light and timeless without losing warmth or personality. The dining area was an important part of the transformation, with the design needing to flow naturally from the kitchen while still feeling like a considered space in its own right.
THE DESIGN APPROACH
The layout was carefully reworked to improve the connection between the kitchen and dining areas, with a new island creating additional workspace, storage and a natural gathering point.
A warm neutral palette provides the foundation, while natural textures, timber, brass accents and patterned textiles add depth, character and personality. In the dining area, layered furnishings and considered styling bring softness and interest, creating a space that feels cohesive with the kitchen but isn't overly matched.
The result is a kitchen and dining space that feels fresh and contemporary, while still being warm, individual and distinctly considered - a reflection of the way the clients wanted to live and entertain.

The kitchen and dining areas were designed as one cohesive space, allowing the materials, colours and finishes to flow naturally while giving each area its own character.
Layered Textures
Natural timber, brass, jute and soft textiles bring warmth and depth to the neutral palette, preventing the space from feeling flat or overly minimal.
A Dining Space With Personality
The dining area brings an extra layer of character to the renovation. Carefully selected furniture, textiles and styling elements create a space that feels welcoming, personal and designed for lingering over meals and entertaining.

Every selection was considered not only for how it looks, but for how the space would be used every day - from the additional kitchen storage and island workspace to the comfortable, inviting dining area.
